Concession stand sign-up
The concession stand funds a lot of youth sports and runs on shifts people forgot they agreed to. A shift sheet with a start time is the whole fix.
Why the group text fails
“Everyone works one game” is a policy, not a schedule. Without slots, the opener shift is the coach’s spouse and the closer shift is empty.
What the sheet should do
- Opener, middle, and closer are different slots because they are different jobs.
- Capacity matches the window: usually two or three, not ten.
- A no-show can be replaced from the waitlist next time if you keep the link up all season.
Tips from running this kind of sheet
- Say who handles cash and whether a treasurer must be one of the adults.
- List the food-safety basics you already use: gloves, hair, hot food temperatures. Don’t invent a new policy on the sheet.
- Home games only, unless you truly staff away stands.
- Add a shopper slot for the person who buys buns on Friday. That job is invisible and essential.
Starter slots
Two adults minimum, and one of them is comfortable with the cash box. Opener buys ice if the shopper slot is empty. Gloves are in the bin. The button below copies these into a new sheet you can edit before anyone sees it.

Questions
Can this collect the money?
No. The cash box stays with your treasurer. SlotSheet only schedules the people.
What if we have a season of home games?
Duplicate the sheet per game, or add a dated slot for each opener. Repeating dates are on the Organiser plan.
