Draft for review. Have a lawyer read this before you rely on it. It is a starting point, not legal advice.
SlotSheet is a sign-up sheet product. We collect the information needed to run a sheet and almost nothing else. This draft explains that in plain language. Replace the contact details and have counsel review it before a public launch.
What we collect
Organisers give us an email address and, if they want, a name. Participants give a name, an email, and an optional note such as a dish or an allergy warning the organiser asked for. We store sign-up times, slot choices, and messages sent through the contact form or the report link.
If an organiser pays, Stripe processes the card. We store a customer id, a subscription id, the plan, and the renewal date. We do not store full card numbers.
Children
SlotSheet is for adults organising events that may involve children. Do not ask for a child’s email, phone number, or home address. Participant fields should be a parent, guardian, or other adult. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
How the link works
Anyone with a sheet link can see the sheet title, description, slot names, and the names of people who signed up. They cannot see email addresses. Treat the link like a group invite: don’t put secrets in the description.
We email sign-in links, confirmations, reminders before a dated slot, waitlist updates, and invite links. Reminders go only to people who signed up. We use a transactional email provider when one is configured.
How long we keep it
We keep a sheet until the organiser deletes it. Closing a sheet keeps the names so the organiser can still export them. Login links expire after 20 minutes. Participant manage links last until the sign-up is removed or replaced.
Sharing
We don’t sell personal information. Service providers (hosting, email, and Stripe) process it to run the product. We may share information if the law requires it.
Contact
Privacy questions go to jonathan.berlangieri@gmail.com. Organisers can delete a sheet from the dashboard. Participants can cancel from the link in their email, which removes them from the active list.
