Terms of use

Last updated October 20, 2026

Draft for review. Have a lawyer read this before you rely on it. It is a starting point, not legal advice.

These terms are a plain-language draft for a self-serve sign-up product. Have a lawyer review them before you take real customers. By creating a sheet or signing up on one, you agree to this draft as the current rules of the service.

The service

SlotSheet lets an organiser publish a sign-up sheet and lets participants claim a slot. The free plan includes up to three open sheets and a small footer. Paid plans are described on the pricing page and billed by Stripe. Taxes may be added by Stripe where required.

Your content

You are responsible for the sheet you publish. Don’t use SlotSheet for anything illegal, for spam, or to collect information you shouldn’t have — especially a child’s contact details. We may close a sheet that is reported and looks abusive.

Accounts

Organiser access is an email link, not a password. Don’t forward a sign-in link. Participant manage links are also private to the person who signed up.

Billing

Paid plans renew until you cancel in the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops the next charge. We don’t promise refunds in this draft; add a refund policy here before launch if you want one. If a payment fails, the plan can lapse and free-plan limits apply again. Sheets already open stay readable so participants aren’t stranded.

Availability

We try to keep the service up. We don’t promise that a reminder email will arrive in every inbox, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Export anything you need to keep.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost fees, or a missed volunteer shift. Some places don’t allow that limit. In those places, the limit applies only as far as the law permits.
