Free plan
A free online sign-up sheet, without the ads
Add your slots, set how many people each needs, and share one link. People sign up with a name and email. It’s free for up to 3 open sheets, and nobody sees an ad.
Free for 3 open sheets. No ads, and no account needed for the people signing up.
Most “free sign-up sheet” results are either printable PDFs or online tools whose free version shows ads to the parents and volunteers you invite. Printables are fine for a classroom door, but nobody can see them from home and nothing reminds anyone.
SlotSheet’s free plan is a real online sign-up sheet with the useful parts included: slots with limits, a waitlist, a confirmation email with a cancel link, a reminder before each slot with a date and time, and a CSV export. Free sheets show a small “Made with SlotSheet” line at the bottom, and that’s the only branding.
How it works
- 1
Sign in with your email
No password. You get a sign-in link by email, and you’re in.
- 2
Add slots or start from a template
Type your slots, or start from a template for snacks, potlucks, conferences, or volunteer shifts and edit the details.
- 3
Share the link
Text it, email it, post it in the group chat, or put it in a newsletter. People don’t need an account.
- 4
Watch it fill, then close it
See names and emails as they come in. Close the sheet when the event is over to free up one of your three spots.

Why the free plan has no ads
Ads on a sign-up sheet are shown to the people you invited, not to you. They’re usually other parents, church members, or volunteers doing you a favour. SlotSheet is paid for by organisers who need more than three sheets or repeating schedules, so the free plan doesn’t need ads to pay its way.
Good uses for a free sign-up sheet
Three open sheets cover most one-person organising:
- A season-long snack schedule for one team.
- A potluck, bake sale, or class party.
- Parent-teacher conference time slots.
- A one-off volunteer day, cleanup, or fundraiser.

Questions
Is the free plan free forever?
Yes. The free plan isn’t a trial. You can keep up to 3 sheets open at a time for as long as you like, without entering a card.
What happens when I need a fourth sheet?
Close a finished sheet to free a spot, or upgrade to Organiser for $5/month or $39/year. Sheets that are already open stay open either way.
Do people signing up see ads or get marketing emails?
No. They see your sheet and a small “Made with SlotSheet” line. They only get emails about their own sign-up: a confirmation and a reminder.
Can I print the sign-up sheet?
Export the sign-ups to a CSV and print them from a spreadsheet, which works well as a check-in list on the day.
