Basketball snack schedule
Basketball snacks disappear into a gym bag unless the schedule says who has the cooler this Saturday. Put the game on a slot and stop asking in the chat.
Why the group text fails
Games move. A parent who had “the 18th” is looking at a different 18th after a reschedule. The sheet should show the opponent and the time, not a vague week number.
What the sheet should do
- Each game is a slot with a date and a one-family capacity.
- If the league moves a game, you edit that slot instead of rewriting a spreadsheet.
- Reminders go to the family who claimed it, not the whole roster.
Tips from running this kind of sheet
- Say whether snacks are for after the game only. Gyms often ban food on the bench.
- Include a water slot separate from food if the team shares a cooler.
- For tournaments, switch to shifts of a few games instead of one slot per game.
- Note the nut policy once in the description so you don’t repeat it on every Saturday.
Starter slots
One family per game. Snacks after the final buzzer, not in the gym during play. Water for 10 players. No nuts. The button below copies these into a new sheet you can edit before anyone sees it.

Questions
Can away games have a different meeting spot?
Yes. Put it in that slot’s details. The confirmation email includes the slot text.
What if two families want the same game?
Set capacity to 1. The second family joins the waitlist.
