Soccer snack schedule

The snack parent job is a season-long calendar, not a single event. Families want to see which Saturday is theirs before someone double-books the same game.

Why the group text fails

A coach posts “who wants snacks this week?” every Thursday. The same three families answer. Everyone else is unsure whether next week is taken, and the oranges show up twice or not at all.

What the sheet should do

Tips from running this kind of sheet

  1. Write the opponent or field in the slot details so parents can tell home games from away games.
  2. Ask for water plus one snack, and say whether the team is nut-free. Put that in the sheet description, not in a separate message.
  3. Leave the last game open for the team party instead of another orange-slice week.
  4. On a paid plan, generate every Saturday in the season in one pass, then delete bye weeks.

Starter slots

One family per game. Please bring water and a simple snack for 12 players. No nuts. Arrive 15 minutes early so kids eat after the game, not during warm-up. The button below copies these into a new sheet you can edit before anyone sees it.

Questions

Can I make a slot for every Saturday automatically?

Yes on the Organiser plan. Pick Saturday, a start date, and an end date, and SlotSheet adds one slot per week.

Do parents need the app?

No. You paste one link in the team chat. They sign up with a name and email.
