Church
Church potluck sign-up
Fellowship hall tables have a shape: mains in the middle, bread on the end, dessert after the kids’ line. The sign-up should match the tables.
Why the group text fails
A clipboard in the narthex misses the people who only come on the Sunday of the potluck. They arrive with a third pasta salad because nobody told them.
What the sheet should do
- Categories have limits that match the number of chafing dishes you own.
- The bulletin and the email can carry the same link.
- Someone who gets sick Saturday uses their email link instead of calling the coordinator during worship setup.
Tips from running this kind of sheet
- Ask for a serving size in the note. “Salad” might feed four or forty.
- Add a setup and teardown crew. The kitchen should not be the same two people every month.
- If you have two services, say which one the meal follows.
- Label gluten-free and vegetarian as their own slots if your congregation asks for that every time.
Starter slots
Please bring food ready to serve, with a spoon that can stay in the dish. We’ll eat after the late service. Write how many people your dish feeds. The button below copies these into a new sheet you can edit before anyone sees it.

Questions
Can visitors use the link?
Yes. If the link is in a public bulletin, assume neighbours can see dish categories. Don’t put private pastoral notes on the sheet.
How is this different from a general potluck page?
The jobs are the same idea. This starter assumes a church hall, a kitchen crew, and a serving line.
