Church
Sunday school volunteer schedule
Sunday school runs out of adults in the room, not out of curriculum. A semester grid shows which Sundays are actually covered.
Why the group text fails
A group text on Saturday night is how subs get found. It works until the one reliable person is out of town, and then it is a scramble before the first service.
What the sheet should do
- Lead and helper are different slots, so a classroom doesn’t end up with four helpers and no one in charge.
- Subs can sit on a monthly backup slot.
- Reminders arrive before the weekend, when people can still arrange childcare for their own morning.
Tips from running this kind of sheet
- Follow your church’s child-safety policy in the description: who must be background-checked, and the two-adult rule.
- Don’t list children’s names on the sheet.
- One sheet per age group is easier than one sheet for the whole children’s ministry.
- Generate every Sunday in the semester, then remove holiday weekends.
Starter slots
Two unrelated adults in the room. Please arrive 15 minutes early. If you are on the backup list, we’ll email you only if a lead cancels. The button below copies these into a new sheet you can edit before anyone sees it.

Questions
Can I build every Sunday at once?
On the Organiser or School plan, yes. Use “repeat a slot” and pick Sundays between your start and end dates.
What does the free plan limit?
Three open sheets at a time. Participants are unlimited. Close last semester’s sheet when you open the next one.
